Dear Ileleste,
I hope this letter finds you well.
Summer has settled over us in earnest. The orchards are finally heavy with fruit, branches bowing beneath their bounty, and I find myself grateful almost daily for the little pond nearby. There are few pleasures quite as simple as slipping into cool water after a long day beneath the sun. The children certainly agree, and I am happy to report they can all swim now, which has spared me a great deal of worrying.
Funny, how life turned out, isn't it?
How have you been? It has been many months since we last spoke, and since our paths parted. I have found myself wondering where the road has carried you, what sights you have seen, and whether fortune has treated you kindly.
Please write when you are able. It would ease my mind greatly to know that this letter finds you safe, healthy, and in good spirits. If writing proves difficult, find a wizard willing to cast a Sending—or use one already at hand—and let me know you are well. And if you are not well, if you find yourself in need of help, do not hesitate to reach out.
The invitation remains open, as it always has. Should your travels bring you anywhere near us, our door, our table, and our hearts will be glad to welcome you.
All my love,
Celeste
((why would Ileleste learn writing when he has wizard for that? Him hair look like sun through leaves. Is good enough for us. My aszurja prefer hot pools here in Imberlur. Very good for horrible knees. Many salts and minerals to make him skin more softly than silk.
The Tara does not like the water, but she like to lay on hot rock close by and do many snoozing. Sometimes Ragar is splash her. On the accident, of course. Ragar is love the swim.
Ragar's childs love the swim too. I worry at first but is instinct. Okay. Creatures who do not have the instinct must no swim. Do not trust this 'learn'. What horrid surface creatures live in pond? Halsin love them surface childs as if he birth them. Celeste must protect.
Gale want to teach Ileleste's son the swim now, after reading letter, so Ileleste must venture on to find shrine of Umberlee. Sure there is one down here, since the sixth cavern drowned. Ileleste see the fins of creatures flashing in the dark; hear the soft turns of the water as they move in the dark. In the creaking nets we find only small fish for eating, fewer each moon, but out there in the dark the water turns around bigger things. Surely someone is appease her; to turn the tide away. Eilistraae is .... busy, Ileleste thinks.
Great Grandmother Sussur tells me Celeste is invite to table. Is enclosing secret map of surface worship site. If Celeste be there one moon, the Sisters will find and bring you through the tunnels.
If Gale and I be here, of course. The whole world be out there, and us three be in cage no more.
Except Ragar daughter of course. She should be in cage. She be slicing the Gale with her claws, and be too black-furred for him to see in dark, eyes too wide to see yellow rim like sun. He defend self with letter. Is much fun watch her slice. Is why her name be Jivvin - Jivvin Quui'elghinn get down! Defame House of Silkleaf with behaviours! Leave curtain be!))
