On A Run- TWD Fic

Rick stopped the car right in front of the store, it was clear from walkers and people, so it was safe. Daryl and Rick climbed out of the car. This was a short mission, that’s why they didn’t need a lot of people.

“You know what we need, right?” Rick asked. The man nodded and opened the door. “We’ll make this quick, you look in those isles, I’ll take these.” Rick spoke, pointing around.

They split up and grabbed what they needed. After a good 10 minutes of silence, Daryl spoke. 

“Rick.. Check this out!” Rick heard Daryl say. Rick walked closer and saw him holding something. “What’s that?” He asked curiously. “Something you might need for your face..” He grinned and gave it to Rick. It was a razor. He shook his head. “It ain’t gonna grow any longer Rick. He has been your only friend who actually stayed with you, trough those times. But sometimes it’s time to say goodbye. And I bet that a lot of people appreciate this decision. Good luck with shaving it off though.” He grinned. “Do you say I look bad?” Rick looked at him. “I’m glad you found out by yourself Grimes. I think the beard is almost as long as your own hair.” “Luckily my hair is not as long as yours!” Rick teased back. “Your face is losing the war Rick... Just shave it... It’s nicer for everyone.” He grinned and walked off.

“Better get going Rick! They’re waiting for us!” Daryl grinned and climbed inside the car. Rick followed. Daryl won this one.
