Me last night: Okay so I've hit the dreaded Middle slog where I'm not eager and excited for the fic anymore because I've played through all my favorite scenes a million times in my head. But I haven't hit the 'omg no one's going to want to read this' spiraling fears yet, so we're still doing good! 💪

#RIGHT ON FUCKING TIME!#*screams again*#Of all the fics and fandoms I've written over the years I am actually coming into these Niles/Daphne fics SO confident #that people will like them #AND YET still the second I start describing the conflict and Maris's demands I think:#OMG are people going to side with Maris?#*face palm*#WHO?! WHO IS GOING TO DO THAT?#Even people eager to extend empathy out to Maris are not going to take her side over Niles #especially when Niles hasn't even done anything wrong in this fic!#JFC I hate navigating the middle of a story #It's like you're in a dark tunnel still too far from either end to see anything and so all your fears #bounce off the walls and amplify until they overwhelm you 😩#(Pretty sure some of this is also a side effect of writing in the Lucifer fandom the last two years)#(Cause a lot of these insecurities and feeling like I need to defend my characterizations and plot points stem from there)#(And the longer I spend away from it the more I realize this.)#(And the more I realize I uh... wasn't actually enjoying myself over in that fandom 😬😬😬)

someone pls help me i live in florida and there is a hurricane and the news says that it might flood and we are not really prepared so everyone is just charging their devices in case the power goes out but my computer doesn’t have good battery life and i have to do research for my project so im just freaking out in my room and my parents are not here i’m with my cousins and since im the only “professional swimmer” here everyone is counting on me to save them if they drown so yeah.
