Ugh. I cant believe I have to keep saying this, but FOLKS just cause you see mermaids for sale at pet stores in those shitty little cups does NOT mean they can thrive in a habitat that size! And they need a heater and sponge filter at a bare minimum!

well, this one always comes and goes in my head… Martin, after recovering and feeling better, decides not to live with Niles and his family. First, because he wants his independence and doesn’t want to get in his son’s way. Second, because the house is so full, especially after the news of a third child, even though he loves being around the grandkids. But mainly because he feels guilty for never having been the kind of father to Niles that Niles is being to his daughters, supportive, present, involved without judging, and proud of them for who they are. I mean, in the show, he doesn’t always show support or pride in Niles, especially compared to Frasier. And maybe it’s because he never really felt that connection himself, since by the time Niles was a kid, he was already frustrated with how Frasier had turned out, so he didn’t even try as much with Niles. I might be reaching, but in my head, seeing Niles build that bond with his daughters, even though they’re different from him, (something Martin couldn’t do) makes him feel kind of "unworthy" of being there, taking up space, time, and money from someone he never really believed in. So he moves out on his own (and then we can still have the canon of him falling and being forced to live with Frasier.) I tend to lean more toward the first plot, but the second one always comes back to me, because Martin seeing Niles become a different kind of father, a truly good, exemplary one, could really shake the way he sees his son. Ok, now I really went overboard lmao this topic always gets me going and I lose all control aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

No, I'm sorry I had to pull this out so everyone can see it because LOOK AT THAT!! Niles being such a good dad that it makes Martin feel insecure?? STOOOP I'm sobbing!! 😭 That's so perfect and true to character for both of them and will lead to some wonderful heart-to-hearts between them later just UGH!! I can't! That's so good! 😭 SO GOOD! 😭😭😭
