I used to think System in Svsss is metaphor for readers but it's straight up a metaphor for Binghe the OG "reader" of his own fate whose soul forged the "System"!

I just realized the reason Airplane's plot especially regarding moshang exists the way it does, because it teaches him that he is allowed to indulge in happier endings without putting excuses of not doing it for plot, or survival , or convenience, or audience.

Mobie Jun started out as his fantasy perfect character who put on the side because he thought nobody would care for him and in the end he killed him too in the story to fit in with the nihilistic trash fire he was writing because he was fairly depressed writer. In the end when he was pushed into the story as well when his habit of blaming his own reader base for writing decisions HE choses to make, he had to make choices regarding how long can he afford to do that ( that is basically his arc and Moshang sums that up)

Between Shen yuan and he, he had the MOST freedom to chose how his character arc will go now that he is in control of the character SQH, beside straight up not participating in the plot. In many instances he almost came close to killing MBJ both literally and :figuratively: in the name of survival or necessity ( both excuses he gave beside earning money as to why he is dropping plots, cutting backstories, dropping foreshadowed ideas etc) but he choses not to. Moshang plot made him see that he doesn't need to dwell on his miserable life and listen to every "pragmatic" aka depressing ideas to get what he wants. ( because truly if he wrote PIDW the way he did because of audience's demand, there were equally BIG demand from audience to not write like a trashy idiot , clearly he was not listening to that!). Which is important since this book is not a story meant satirize just the reader's experience but also writer's too.

This is why its funny when he says he can also write like the writer who wrote Regret of Chunshan and his ideas are even worse than before but none of them have any depressive ending like the OG outline of PIDW did.

I am re-reading svss/s after nearly 2 years , and my god was Nin Yingying always this dislikable in hindsight? Like, my perspective is nearly 80% fresh after so long and how ODD it is that this girl is out there, acting like a spoiled girl , who can threaten Ming Fan to stop hitting Binghe by just saying she won't talk to him, or asking her own lofty Shizun to stroll around market ??

Incidentally since the Skinner demon arc is almost halfway a hidden /discarded plot, it means in original book she was out there wanting to go around strolling for fun with the same Shizun , who she sees beating her fellow disciple buddy and crush Binghe EVERY. GODDAMN.DAY!

I always said that the way NYY acts, its clear for her , her comfort matters more than actually doing right or wrong. As long as she remains the pampered baby for the men of her life, she is fine with almost everything else. It repaints everything she did in original novel and frankly makes people who claimed she was totally sincerely in love with Binghe look dumb.

SY!SQQ so far said that NYY in OG novel nearly starved herself in her "grief" when LBH was thrown into abyss for 5 years but it seems its more like she was stressed that if her master can do that to LBH , he might be a dangerous enough to hurt her. Some kind of sense finally hitting her head. Which also might explain why she remained mute when OG! book LBH came in to scheme for SJ!SQQ's downfall and one of his accusation included trying to molest NYY. NYY knew that it isn't true but does it matter if she wants for someone else to get rid of him?

Being on "svsss is actually a reader/writer satire on being a fanfic writer, writer of original work" The fact Shenyuan can never leave the SV world because its implied he is permanently dead in his real one but Airplane could and he chose not to shows, that according to Mxtx you can opt out of being a writer of original fiction whenever one wants. But being a fan is PERMANENT in her eyes.

Could you elaborate on your bingjiu post? I may be misunderstanding, but I'm confused by the conflation between bingjiu and bingqiu. I am also pretty ambivalent towards bingjiu because most of what I see for it feels like mischaracterization (or blatantly rewriting canon), but I don't think that shipping bingjiu necessitates thinking that LBH felt similarly to SJ!SQQ as SY!SQQ, or that LBH fell in love with SJ!SQQ as a disciple. I think at its best it's toxic yaoi along the lines of "we're both monsters" and "you molded me into your likeness", which doesn't have much in common with bingqiu's dynamic.

Pretty, almost, it! I have seen some people write long winded metas on the fact that OG!LBH is someone who is so DESPERATE for love and attention that once he sees the "other world" SQQ, he might feel like the SQQ he has in his world, pickled and human stick like in the dungeons, might start to form attachment , even of toxic kind towards that man.

Here is the snitch- That madly underestimates how emotionally intelligent LBH can be. In the text most people have tried to explain away why suddenly "SQQ"'s personality drastically changed after waking up from "qi deviation" at the start of the novel and taken it as a fact that perhaps its because of the deviation he is the way he , after not finding any evidence that he is "possessed". However, you know who could tell?? YGY. He is the only one who can tell deep down that this man is not SJ anymore, only one who "mourns" that he is gone. If YGY a man who barely got close to SQQ!SY version can tell this, Binghe, who has been through the dreams and nightmares of SY!SQQ, who knows "other dimensions" exist, and has spend significant portion of time with both sides of "SQQ" can DEFINITELY figure out that the SQQ he has and the SQQ he met in the Binghe v/s Bingmei extras are two different people. Its only a matter of time.

Even most ppl who act like LBH and SJ are "similar" people do concede that LBH is emotionally aware enough to know what goes inside the hearts of most people around him- from his 300+ women harem where practically none of them love him for him, to his subordinates to even SQQ. It would be hard for someone like LBH, who was won over by SY!SQQ after he doted on him endlessly for MONTHS and even tried to save his life countless times , to ever feel anything REMOTELY close to a fraction of it for someone who basically broke his self so badly after relentless abuse, trauma and outright murder attempt.

Not to mention we do know what OG!LBH does when he figures out eventually that the people he wants to be sincere with are playing him for their own again aka his Haram- that is keep them at superficial distance. Heck! He can barely form any significant bonds with his own children from the unreliable commentary of SY on PIDW. I also disagree with most of the fandom who act like OG!LBH never tried his best to loving to his wives. He did, at least the first few wives he acquired, since most of them had a significant impact in his life and acted like they cared for his well being. He would cook for them, please them with fancy cultivation tricks, even fight for them. We know from how he acted with SY!SQQ that he does that when he wants to love someone with true intentions. But in the end he and his wives are just playing house and they both know it.

So can you imagine a guy like this ever trying to go back to that insincere , loveless existence after he found someone like SY!SQQ possibility existing!? COME ON. He might be genuine enough deep down, despite his heart being blackened like a muddied Lotus to leave finally in the SV world when he saw LBH and SY!SQQ truly love each other , but not foolish enough to compromise on something he never liked if he found something which made him happy. We see that real time in SV verse when he refuses to entertain NYY and all the girls with SY!SQQ existing right there! People write Binggeyuan AUs a lot and frankly THAT is far more likely crack to happen then Bing.jiu!

I think most people seem to not internalize the gravity of what LBH and SJ represents. Sure SJ was not playing a manipulative paternal game with LBH like J*n Wu was in 'T.gcf but the impact it had on his psyche was not any less damaging. People ship Junl*an sure, but in a cracky , ironic way. Nobody is genuinely writing metas on the idea that XL has some kind of genuine affection enough for someone like JW esp after he knows all the betrayal and trauma he inflicted.

SJ was LBH's Shizun too. He had the BARE MINIMUM responsibility to at least be courteous to him if not outright kind and affectionate. LBH was just as badly tortured and attacked behind his back for NO GOOD REASON like XL was. Just a teenager like XL whose innocent existence/words were seen as provocation due to jealousy( yes I will say it SJ's main issue with LBH has always been his jealousy stemming from feeling inadequate , that even YGY couldn't remove. If he could SJ won't be a twat even as a child on the streets, bullying other equally unfortunate kids with him. I know some people insist its because LBH's "A Luo" nickname triggers him or something but nah, NYY was not even there when he picked him up to be selected. LBH represents the fact that SJ knows deep down that he is a wretched person and he cannot keep blaming everyone else for his actions esp since LBH exists who has been through what he has and still is not burning in anger and misery each day. But this is another meta for another day. I have had people deny that he is self assessing correctly when he calls himself an ass once in his life, insisting he is talking crazy because "trauma" ) . To be even betrayed by someone who had NO reason to kill him like this, obviously LBH snapped!

You cannot repair something or forge something when nothing of sincerity remains. People underestimate not only LBH's emotional intelligence but also his tolerance for taking crap from others. My man has standards. He didn't even fell in love with SQQ until he started to treat him like his North Star of the world, going out of his way to save his life at his own expense.

Would like to clarify; Ship and let ship but yeah if someone wants to be serious about crack, I too would also have some serious thoughts on how that crack cannot exist. Bing/jiu as a crack ship is fine to me.
