Atla fic idea/setup:
So, Ba Sing Se, the gaang have realised Jet is brainwashed, and then as they debate what to do to jog his memory, Smellerbee says that he was kinda obsessed with "those two guys" and says maybe they could try to talk with them? That could jog his memory surely? Sokka points out that they're firebenders and therefore shouldn't be trusted. The others think on this and then Longshot moves his head and Smellerbee's like "he ( Longshot)'s right, we stole food from the captain with him ('Lee')"
And so they agree fine we'll try to find them and figure something out. They go to the tea shop, guided there by Smellerbee and Longshot, and they see Zuko and Iroh SERVING TEA and dealing with customer's and then Zuko spots them and there's an "Oh shit" moment . Jet recognises them, and GOES UP TO HIM! The gaang are just like "that's bad, wtf are you doing Jet and why are you calling him Lee?"
Because he ( surprisingly) doesn't want to cause a scene, Jet's calm and is all "when do you get off? Don't yell we just wanna talk for a second" Zuko is worried, Iroh is worried, the gaang's slowly dying and don't know how to bring up that they know him and he's not called Lee and is in fact, not just some firebender but the fucking Prince of the Fire Nation.
