☿ -This man is older than you will ever be. He has wisdom, has knowledge, which is different, as you would know if you had either. This man deserves our respect!

It felt like being underwater. Matt’s senses were a bit fuzzy but slowly it felt like he was coming to the surface. Oh, he was waking up. Laying flat on his back, Murdock groaned and moved to sit up slowly. Something tugged at his wrist. Pulling his arm across his chest a bit, Matt heard the sound of metal links clattering across the floor. Brow furrowing, Matt carefully picked up what felt like a chain and gave it a bit of a tug. He heard a light groan as he did before calmly listening to the familiar heartbeat. “Danny?”

so if anyone wanted to know how to permanently MAIM or KILL anubis && ‘chet you monsters, here’s the ONLY way your muse can go about it:
as ‘immortals’ bound to Duat, the Egyptian underworld, staying on earth puts a great strain on their regular abilities. anything from healing to levitation requires a significant amount of energy (hence, the reason they both eat && sleep a lot-- in Duat they require neither).
both deities have the capability to bring people back from the dead-- but there’s a significant catch. in Duat, the soul can be returned to the body if not too much time has passed. in doing so, the deities lose a fixed amount of their memories (generally revolving around the person they revived) && fall into a catatonic state for however many years-- even centuries, depending on how much energy will be needed to bring the human back to life.
on earth, the same principles apply-- the human can not be dead for more than a day. however, if either were to use their powers on earth, it is quite likely that they’d forget themselves entirely. everything, their memories on earth && their time in Duat would be erased. they’d be in quite the weakened state, && since it is unlikely they will ever get their memories back, it would be easy enough to overpower && kill them.
so, if you really want to hurt them, give them someone to love, someone f r a g i l e && take them away--
kiss in the rain!! B)
Send my muse kisses you want to give them!

The rain was pouring down, soaking them both, but the Doctor could only look up at the sky and laugh. They were alive! Seconds to spare and they’d made it out, not a scratch on either himself nor Rose. He turned to her, arms open for a hug---he got a hell of a lot more than that. She threw herself at him, arms around his neck, lips hastily pressed against his own. For a moment, all he could to was stare, eyes wide and crossed, as he tried to look down at their lips. Kissing. She was kissing him!
His mind reeled, hearts racing. It was wrong, he would lose her again and it would hurt. Best to just push her away and let her down gently, but the Doctor didn’t do that. No, he pulled her closer, one arm holding her flush against him, the other hand burying itself into her dripping hair, and he kissed her back. Gave it all he had---all those hidden emotions, all the pain and joy and hope were behind that kiss. The timing was horrid, the kiss as messy as it was desperate, and they would probably both catch terrible colds, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
She was in his arms, safe and warm, and the Doctor wasn’t about to let her go any time soon.
