snakes/dogs are talked about A LOT in severitus fics esp when it comes to trusted animals for harry, but what about spiders? in the books it’s mentioned that he has grown used to the spiders company in his cupboard, where he was for the most part of his childhood..all im saying is there’s prime severitus scenarios here…
like snape asking what harry has in his pockets and he just pulls out a fuckton of baby spiders “potterwhatthefuck”
harry sees his room in snapes quarters and his first unpacking step is to let his fat unidentified spider roam about (snape immediately freaks out thinking it snuck into harry’s luggage)
or lockhart/karkoroff/umbride/possibly sirius beefing w snape and harry, mad on his behalf like unleashes his spider colony onto one of them..
harry not letting snape harvest snape legs/eyes/webs/ whatever tf he uses man idk…leads to childish argument
bonus points if snape hates live spiders..
harry letting the spiders loose in their quarters after a heated argument and an increase of petty snape offenses
We know he can speak parseltongue but Harry being a spider whisperer is funnier. He doesn’t even mean to do it but he’s like a spider magnet
So I think it’s a great idea but spiders don’t live very long usually I’m pretty sure :(
but he could have like several generations of pet spiders from the original spider in his cupboard at the Dursleys. I like that
