sorry i have just realised how fucked up that is. that the trans group in town just dropped me. even if it was through a simple slip of the mind of the woman (cisgender, mind you) in charge, I still feel like that was deeply fucked up.
that was a young adult living in their abusive parents basement and having to sneak out to go to the group, and because of this they weren't connected with the rest of the group and needed that connection maybe moreso than anyone else there. they did not cause problems, they were polite and open and did their best to make everyone feel included. they did not bother correcting people when the others misgendered them (because apparently they/them pronouns are too difficult even for other trans folks!) but they would politely correct others when other people got misgendered.
and then you just... forget about them? stop inviting them to the group that they have no way of knowing about other than through the texts because it has to be kept secret from everyone else in town for safety reasons bc the town you live in is so deeply bigoted? so you've now left them to fend for themself in this dangerous town while trapped in their abusive transphobic parents basement. how the fuck do you do that!!!
