Lily: “What’s the matter Victor?”

Victor: *sigh* “The office called, they need me back at the firm. When will you be home?”

Lily: “Hm... could be a couple of hours. Diego and I still have another wall to work out here.”

Victor: “Any chance you could wrap it up now? We can’t ask Hannah to stay late again.”

Lily: “Just drop Jason off at my parents’, they’re always reminding me that they don’t see him enough.”

Victor: *annoyed* “They enjoy reminding me they think my career is pointless.”

Lily: “What do you want me to do Victor?”

Victor: “Come home.”

Lily: “...”

Victor: “...”

Lily: “I heard Councilwoman Martinez won’t be running for reelection next year. Something about taking time to focus on her family, but we all know what that actually means.”

Victor: *stressed* “The timing’s not ideal. You know work’s been crazy.”

Lily: *distracted* “hm.”

Victor: “We'll discuss it later, fine?”

okay a little post for victor things

in modern times he's most likely to be in switzerland, england, or germany. he has created the creature and been chased down by him. henry, william, and elizabeth are all dead. so that i can have him still actively pursuing a goal, he will be working on the bride. like in the 35 movie, he started doing it under duress but is kind of reinvigorated by the process.

victor's canon verse is going to be a mish mash of the gdt movie with the book, but when in doubt, i defer to shelley. okay some quick notes:

elizabeth and william are married, i like the change in her character a lot, and better for victor to be scorned (especially by someone who looks like his mother.) he deserves it.

henry clerval exists! no surprise here, he is my favorite forever. i saw art someone did of him and the creature side by side, with the creature kind of resembling him, and i do love the idea of victor unconsciously modeling his son after his gay narrative foil.

henry gets killed by the creature after victor scraps the bride, which happens kind of midway through the novel (instead of being asked to make a companion in the arctic like in the 25 movie)

to that point, the creature's presence looms over victor a lot more before the eventual chase.

i really like the whale movies, so even though im probably not going to take cues from their plot so much, performance wise and aesthetically they are in here somewhere.
