2020 choreo points that made me go oh yeah! (january #1)
Zico rubs me the wrong way. Heās great at composing but the way he seems to just drop people like Block B and especially Seolhyun says a lot about him
I'm sad that I have to delete Zico's music from my phone. I really got into him last year without knowing how problematic he actually is (and I don't get down with problematic idols) but after I saw he said the n word and wore the confederate flag AND called gay people the f word AND said he's yellow with a black persons soul (and other things I don't have time to list) I knew I had to drop him asap. I don't want to drop block b though.
light ā Anise flickers the lights to get Zicoās attention
āOld man. Hey, old man.ā
When it becomes obvious that the shop owner in Sombra Muerte isnāt paying attention to her, Aniseās face falls into a decidedly unimpressed expression and she ambles over to the light switches in the shop. She would never do something so disrespectful as mess with the merchandise or make loud noises to get someoneās attention - hell, does she hate loud noises - but lights are always fair game as long as she doesnāt flicker them too fast.Ā
So she switches the lights on and off and on and off until finally Zico looks up at her with a glare of mild annoyance. Anise holds up a jar of something that looks decidedly slimy (sheāll have to wear gloves if she messes with these), though sheās not actually certain what it is. Which is the reason she had needed Zicoās attention in the first place.
āJust tell me what this is and if itās plant matter Iāll take it and if itās not Iāll leave you alone.ā
āYou only know who you are now, not what youāll become.ā
āThinking about the future is so dumb,ā Anise grumbled as she picked through some of the myriad of books kept in Sombra Muerte. It had become a rather frequent haunt for her and she had gotten to know the owner of the store just a little better, though Anise felt like it was impossible to understand him. Even more than usual, if that was possible.
Since graduation was still a few years off, Anise had plenty of time to worry about what she would do after college. But her mom had been asking about it during their weekly phone calls lately and it weighed on her mind. As such, she decided it would be best to gather information from all the unique sources on the island in terms of possible employment. Sure, she would rather simply go do plant research, but life was rarely that simple.
āWhat if Iām...like this forever, though?ā

Zico had been toying with her long enough. He had always been one for teasing, but now Anise was starting to get tired of it. If he had something to show and to sell, then he should show it! Otherwise, why bother taunting her with it? Oh, wait - she knew exactly why. Because he was that kind of god.Ā
āSo, you gonna show me or am I gonna bat-scream and scare your customers away?ā

Though Anise had been into the shop a good handful of times now (she was starting to make it a habit to stop by after school at least once a week), she had never heard been welcomed by the god behind the desk in such a rude and unwelcoming manner. Certainly he was rude and unwelcoming, but he had never outright threatened her. Lingering by the door to secure an easy escape (in case she needed one), Anise asked,Ā āWho peed in your Honey Bunches this morning, mister?ā
got shrooms? +Ah Puch
@mpxzico
Usually, Anise wasnāt much excited by new shops opening up on the island. But this was no usually.
In fact, this was practically family. Okay, itās not like Anise actually cared about family. Who was in her pantheon, who wasnāt, she couldnāt care less. What she did care about was the shopās potential. She could only get so many live samples on the island. And most shipping services didnāt seem to look fondly on transporting mushrooms and spores. Especially dangerous ones.
As such, any potential opportunity to look for new and unusual samples was in her interest to pursue. That was how she found herself in the so-calledĀ āshop of odditiesā. The first thing she noticed was the dimness when she entered. It suited her eyes much better than the bright summer sunshine outside. That boded well for her search. It was with this in mind that Anise - fingering her chewable silicone bat necklace - approached the front desk and the man sitting behind it.
āHi. Do you sell mushrooms? Any kind will do, but Iād prefer it if they werenāt...regular ones. Mushroom or fungus spores are also fine.ā
