It ' s an interesting thing that the Latin name Carolus is the official for Charlie or Charles rather and was used to refer to Charle𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗲 ( Charles The Great ) whilst also associated with European symbolism of the Red and White Rose ( COURAGE AND PURE INTENTIONS ) and The Oak Tree ( STRENGHT, ENDURACE "FREE MAN" STANDING TALL AND INDEPENDENT ) All of which apply to Charlie in a way . Let it be known that Charlie is both an official nickname for Charles and Charlotte . Whilst in Ancient Greek ( ALSO HEBREW ), Charlotte can be derivated from the word Chara which means joy or gladness and delight , in which the term is also rooted in the word charis ( GRACE ) direct result of divine favor ( OR CHARA / JOY IS THE RESULT / FRUIT OF CHARIS / GOD'S GRACE ). And mulling it over Charlie has another name from her English one . Charis is also used to translate the Hebrew concept of Chesed ( LOVING KINDNESS / MERCY ) .
