I can't talk to you when you're being hysterical.

Veronica’s fourth birthday party at a little kid’s place near the Central Park promised to be the event of the year. If it hadn’t been for the fact that Hiram’s mother showed up unannounced after saying that she couldn’t make it.
Since a very young age, Veronica had learned that whenever her mother’s sweet expression turned into a weird smile of... pure suppressed disgust, it meant only one thing: having to deal with people she despised. In other words, having to deal with Hiram’s mother.
When Cecilia walked in that afternoon, the ravenette held Veronica so tight to her chest, the little girl had to repeatedly poke her shoulder while whining ‘Mommy, you’re hurting me.’ before Hiram came to her rescue.
“I know she said she wasn’t coming but just listen to me-”
“Now you care to hear what I have to say? Well, clearly you didn’t when you and her plotted behind my back about this. You’re hysterical, did you know that? And not in the good way. Eres un hipócrita maldito!” The young Latina said through gritted teeth, practically fuming.
Oh, little Ronnie was in for quite the eventful afternoon.
