Manuosos getting in his yellow car, full of hope, only for it to fail, and being confronted by his mother emerging out of the darkness as a cruel illusion of someone she could have been. Then choosing not to fall for it, reminding himself of who she really was, and reclaiming his hope to drive away and find the other person who truly understands his anger and fear and confusion and humanity.
