I've just gone back to boarding school and I'm in the huge slump. It's hard to even get up in the morning but it's far harder to fall asleep at night when you know no one cares about you in your country. I don't know how much longer I can be strong enough to fight this living just takes so much effort and no one cares if I do or not. I cry to myself every night until I have no more tears left and still don't know why I'm fighting this. I want to give up but I also don't -alone

Welcome to mental health advice! I am sorry it took us so long to get to answering your ask!

Sometimes the world can seem like such a huge, vast place. Other times it can seem so small. For example, I may be halfway around the world from you, however you are talking with me right now, through your computer, phone, tablet, or other internet connecting device. And isn't that simply amazing? How we can be half a world away and still talk with one another?

Imagine this, all our admins and followers around the world. The likelihood that one of us lives near you is substantial. Someone who may be looking over this and saying right now "I care about you." That would mean that someone is there, caring about you. Someone in the same country you are in. This itself may serve as a reminder that you are not alone.

It sounds as if you are suffering a great deal, and I am quite worried about you. Is there a therapist or counselor on campus or nearby that you can go see? You aren't alone in this, and if you need help I want you to see about getting it okay, because you matter.

If you can, also please see if your can build a support team around you. Even if these are people who live in a different country, or if they are teachers or other people, they can still be of support. A support team can be helpful in learning to cope and feel better in all you are dealing with.

Your life matters, and bad things, they can change. You can fight this.
