the seven was such a genuinely cool concept of how to flesh out an existing world. i just still love the idea of the cast inhabiting existing characters and taking their existing attributes while the NPCs (formerly) mostly being so background and nebulous that they’re still malleable to become PCs in the sense that they are in the seven. someone like danielle can pretty much be built up from zero context whereas someone like penny or ostentatia has a bit more background to adhere to, but still not so much that the characters don’t become their own. idk i just loved the fleshing out of NPCs in that way

#i guess it's similar to randomizing a character or rolling on character tables in the idea of not 'getting a say' in aspects of your charact #-er #but then the excitement that comes with taken that randomly dealt hand and making it your own #and i just love that #dimension 20 #the seven
