Age regression community, may I ask a question? How do you overcome the shame?

Further context if you'd like:

I have recently discovered I regress (clinically as an involuntary trauma response-- I believe this is commonly called 'vent regression'), and I am very uncomfortable with this. It makes me feel vulnerable and I struggle with such feelings-- I've even addressed such in therapy (although that time was about simply asking for help, not regression).

I would like to make such episodes, if they occur again, less...terrible, and believe addressing my shame around this response may be helpful. Any insight you may have is welcomed.
