Fellow Starter
Pretty much like Dawn and Barry, or Cheren and Bianca. Slade needs someone that’s just starting out and willing to progress through, maybe motivating him to get his shit together at times and perhaps having some element of rivalry with them. Let’s be noob-mates!
Gym Leaders
To learn from, challenge, just interview or even socialize. As he’s aspiring to become one and take a place in Galar himself, Slade needs some people to learn from. Get all the proper tips (or all the wrong ones) on how to do that. Canons, OCs, everything goes. Eventually, Slade will be joining their ranks.
Legendary Pokemon
Let’s get a little into wishful thinking. There are several Legendaries featured through the Anime and movies in Pokemon, that just up and stick with trainers (read: Ash). I figure it could be nice, funny even, if Slade had something like that too. Mainly because he knows close to nothing about mythicals and such.
A Psychic
There seem to be some guys out there in the Pokemon universe that can use psychic powers - or at least read minds. Well, Slade can hear music in his head at all times. It’d be amusing if someone entered his head and just so happened to hear their own battle theme or whatnot playing. Small idea, but I believe it can work from there lol
Ice-type Specialist
While he’s well-versed in the ones from Hoenn, that’s as far as his specialty goes. Bring him a senpai. Even if they’re younger than him.

Romance Plot
Okay yeah while all of the above is directed at Slade’s journey, I actually want to try my hand with a thorough romance plot as well. It doesn’t have to have to do with the journey he goes through, not with Pokemon eithe way. I don’t mind if it’s one-sided, ends up falling, or if it’s short-term. I want to try and play out a proper romance plot with this guy.
Now for this to happen... There has to be chemistry between the muses in the first place. It would also help a lot if the mun would also be interested. I do want to do this properly, from A to... Whatever letter we get to.
