I think we need to talk more about friend crushes like I dream of going on cute little outings with my friends and having fun and growing old and sharing our lives together in the way that I get to be the fun Auncle (or my preferred gender neutral version of aunt/uncle-- Oyster) and give their children mildy infuriating but not bad habits, and be at their weddings and help hold their hair when they are drunk at the club, I wanna buy new clothes with them and go thrifting and find 'the heat' together, I want to be so close that people mistake us for a couple but we really aren't (and the enjoyment is from the fact that we aren't a couple but we are close enough to seem like one-- I don't secretly want to date them).
I love my friends and I have platonic crushes on all of them and I daydream about being really good friends with people and sharing my life with the people that I love.
I think, and don't quote me bc this is just a vibes and what I have seen (which isn't a lot) thing, some of the reason there is such binary trans infighting-- this constant ‘trans women vs trans men’ discourse/argument sort of thing-- is because of the rejection of the gender trans people were once percieved as. This is of course a very perisex and gender stereotypical and gender binary perspective, but something I want to vocalize that I have noticed at least with myself and some other trans people I know.
I have noticed that I reject the gender society labels me as (female) and in doing so I tend to reject all things associated with femininity and women to a lowk harmful extent. And I’ve seen other people do this as well, it goes both ways equally. Sometimes I get genuinely angry at things just for being associated to womanhood, and I assume it must be the same for some trans women out there as well. Some of us in our journey to feel and be referred to as ourselves reject the notion of what we once were so harsh it gets to the point we start harming others. We can't understand why someone would want to be that thing bc it hurt us so much.
And I think its ok to reject the gender you were labeled as growing up, I think its completely valid and normal to feel uncomfortable when doing or interacting with something that claims to be/be for a gender you no longer are/never were in the first place. But the problem is when we let it get bad. When we start to shame our brothers and sisters for who they are, claim they aren't welcome in the community we ALL fought for.
idk if this makes sense, but it's something I've been thinking and Im curious about others thoughts and if this makes sense or not. Ofc this isn't ALL the reason that trans infighting happens, or why a trans person would be transmisogynistic or transandrophobic, but I think this could be a reason for some and in part Ive noticed myself have this issue.
I made a kinda joke post a while ago that said 'a woman or man or anyone without the trans is like an angel without wings' and like yea but also. That phrase 'angel without wings' has kind of lost all meaning to me now that i know about alterhumanity and am in online communities for it. Like. theres so many angels without wings. I have decided the course of action is finish all the male genshin selfship flags, go back and make sure all my flags I've ever posted have proper ids, take a break, start and finish the girlies, take another break, post all the other flags I've done that aren't ship related, possibly take another break, and then back to regularly scheduled flags. I think I wanna start making overwatch related flags since I have gotten back into ow and realized that I haven't seen a lot of ow related mogai terms. All of this will be separate from the coining event I was thinking of joining, btw, I still plan on doing those regardless of what I am posting
We are very close to having finished all the selfship flags for the genshin boys !! Last night I finished making all the sumeru boy flags, and I have just posted the batch of Inazuma boy flags. Now all that's left is to make the Fontaine, Natlan, and Nod Krai boys and get them all posted. I will probably take a bit of a break from specifically genshin selfship flags for a bit once I have finished with the boys, but dw I will get to the girlies. Idk if I have said, but I will not be doing any chibi models. I am not avoiding minors, I have already done Bennett, Mika, Xingqiu and Chongyun and other minors, I am just not comfortable making anything related to the Chibis and like. Romance and stuff.
