#I keep seeing these videos of a guy who records himself dancing on Paris metro station platforms #and he'll zoom in on people watching in the background #the comments will always be really critical of anyone watching who doesn't seem to love it #and I'm just like idk man maybe someone is just trying to get to work and they don't want to be in your video #also you're literally on a train platform making people walk around you #it just feels so much like the attitude that more and more people have that they're the main character #and everyone else is just a background NPC #and it makes me feel like I'm going insane that I'm apparently the only person who has a problem with this #also the legality of it is irrelevant before anyone starts with the 'legally you have no right to privacy in public spaces'#legal =/= ethical #it just feels like there's sort of this expectation that people should be willing to participate in your 'content' at all times #and that they exist in this instagram reel just for the entertainment value rather than being #you know #real people

Maybe -- just MAYBE -- don't spit on other characters and ships and works when the artist you congratulate and reblog from also draws those?

At the end of the day, my thoughts on job hunting are that it's incredibly stupid how every fiber of our current socioeconomic structure is screaming that you MUST have a job and nothing else matters because you MUST be working and that's the only thing of true importance so never forget that you MUST have a job, and I'm like damn okay so I'd like a job, can I have one? And the answer is No

#I'm at. where am i. I'm at 139 applications #six interviews. each one better than the last #literally cannot imagine an interview going better than that last one but nah #number seven is booked for next week #I've been on this grind since January #and like. idk man. number seven is in a field and for a position that is so fuckin wild to me #NOTHING to do with what i want to do or what I'm trained to do #but i know somebody who knows somebody and a string got pulled so I'm following it as far as it will take me #and this would be part time!!!!#i would have to change my sleep schedule by at least six hours and maybe get new clothes #and there are no benefits #and it's still PART TIME #all of that for this. please. please #i have lowered my standards and broadened my horizons so much #but I'm trying to fucking move out! i would love to have options for health insurance!#at some point I'll probably need to go to the dentist!#like. man. what does it fucking take. I can't even comply with capitalism because nobody will let me. geez #AND i can't make any kind of plans because there's always the chance that i might get a job #I can't volunteer to tech for a local theatre or help out with the library's D&D program or anything #because i MIGHT get a job and have to drop that commitment immediately #so like. man #I'm just trying to stay a little busy and make a point of enjoying the present as it happens #but gah #wingwalker
