It would break him. I don’t think you understand how much it would hurt him. He would just stop arguing completely, leave your sight, and then give you the silent treatment. And even if you apologise, he’d accept your apology but would never look at you the same way again. There would always be that hurt and he wouldn’t completely forget it.
