Just got a strangely vivid memory of this old, bright red rotary phone my dad had. He kept it in the basement on a coffee table, away from any couches or chairs. Just the shiny red rotary phone on the coffee table. He forbade is from touching it. It rang, sometimes. I’d never seen him use it, though. I can’t remember what happened to it.
