Percy/ Corrin is kind of weird. It's not any weirder if Corrin is male, but the fact that Corrin can marry especially young characters like Percy and Midori is weird.
(note that i got slightly passionate while writing this i don’t intend any of it to come off as rude/antagonistic, i was right there with you at one point!!!)
Corrin is meant to be an avatar of the player. The player could easily be about as old as however old percy and Midori are supposed to be, even moreso because their ages are never explicitly specified. I don’t personally see the problem with Corrin marrying any character, old or young, for this very reason.
And the last thing I want to do is, say, shame a 14 year old’s burgeoning sense of their own sexuality by communicating to them “Oh, you want this representation of yourself to be in a relationship with sakura/elise/percy/midori? Too bad, your feelings are weird and gross.” (If you don’t think this is something that can actually happen I have indeed spoken to a young teen who did feel gross about their little crush on Sakura because of some of the discourse swirling around.)
I want those kids to be able to feel comfortable with and express themselves. I guess there are people who will abuse that for their own creepiness but that’s on them, not those kids.
