The "Magneto was right" shit in X'97 lowkey pisses me off both as someone who absolutely does NOT think Magneto was right and someone who actually does support the more revolutionary politics that slogan is limply gesturing at, but this is actually kinda funny. Like hell yeah, Magneto Was Right T-shirts now for sale for 50$ at the Disney Store lmao
I haven't seen the episode but this character looks like a tool, too, really holding a mirror up to your fanbase there. Totally captures the whole "Che Guevara t-shirt made in a sweatshop and sold on Amazon, but for nerds who don't know who Che Guevara is" vibe of the average Magneto Was Right t-shirt owner.
That said, I don't know if you get to make this joke after a season-and-a-half of being the TV show equivalent of the guy in the Magneto Was Right shirt lol Is this meant to be a dig at De Mayo or something now that the last episode he wrote is over? Like what are we doing here?
