At a certain point in time, changes happen. Maybe the loss of a loved one, hobbies that no longer bringing a sense of belonging. Changes come in many sizes, big and small, vague and obvious. But sadly, we can't really see change happen in real time. Because if we stood by a sapling and stared it for 7 years straight, it will appear to be the same spaling; Unless we turn around, the once small sapling now a young grand tree.
Fall mortises are much more difficult to explain, blunt? Shy? Prone to anger? Maybe, maybe not. Clothes are light, consist of wool, cotton, and the such. Colors is also hard to pinpoint what is common to see, but oranges and soft warm colors are answers from fall mortises. Their furs and feathers can range from short to long to fit in the calm weather.
They are great hiders, quick to vanish within seconds. Probably why they're more likely to join F.E.A.R for their quirks. But the medical field is full of them, typically doctors and surgeons. Some take the role as a campanions to messangers.
Fall deities are a mix bag to some, either you have a good enounter with one or you just have the worst experience. Or a mix of both. Fall deities take the form of pygmy owls. They dictate what changes should happened, big or small or both. Should be noted they cannot turn into humans like prestiges. But, they are the main reason why shapeshifters exist.
It's common knowledge, within the villages that know their existence, that when the birds start singing a specific tune, that the messanger is arriving. Ponche is a popular drink to give said messangers after a long journey on a cold day.
