► NAME: Séaghdha Lavellan ► NICKNAME: Various mispronunciations of his name (which is pronounced 'Shay,' for the record) ► GENDER: Cis male ► ROMANTIC ORIENTATION: Homosexual, homoromantic ► PREFERRED PET NAMES: It varies partner to partner, but most will make him melt regardless ► RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single by default, but taken and even married in various other ships ► FAVORITE CANON SHIP( S ): Game canon is Dorian, but as far as tumblr? Picking an actual favorite is impossible, but as far as the one I am currently hyper-fixated one: Garret Hawke written by @embracedestiny ► FAVORITE NON-CANON SHIP( S ): Again, it's impossible to pick, so we'll go with another hyper fixation: Alarik written by @ingxni ► OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: Sort of? He thinks it's absolutely possible, but not something that magically happens. He doesn't believe in soulmates, per se, or predestined success in love or anything like that, but a relationship that develops into a bond as strong as 'true love'? Yes. But it takes hard work to get there, and as with any relationship, requires work to maintain. He doesn't believe love is some mystical force that glues people together and solves all problems. In all, though, he thinks it's wonderful to think about, but (naturally) does not see it as something he will ever personally obtain. ► OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: Considering he thinks love takes effort to achieve and maintain, no. But he does believe in attraction at first sight. ► HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY: Disgustingly romantic to be perfectly honest. He lives for that stuff. ► IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: He's a sucker for intense eyes and strong arms. ► IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS: Kind, patient, and understanding. He also deeply appreciates intelligence. ► UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS: Unhygenic!! ► UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS: Intentionally cruel and judgemental. ► IDEAL DATE: He's a simple guy really, he just wants to spend quiet time with his partner. Take him on a picnic next to a lake, take him on a stroll hand in hand - touch, time, and intimacy. That's all he really needs. ► DO THEY HAVE A TYPE: Apparently tall humans with beards???? ► AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: He doesn't generally get into relationships unless he sees them lasting, which is why there's generally a very, very long courtship period. ► PREFERRED NON-SEXUAL INTIMACY: He's extremely tactile, so touch of any kind honestly. As simple as a hand brushing across shoulders as someone passes, or more obvious embraces and cuddling. He loves cuddling and napping together. Let him rest his head on his partner's chest so he can listen to their heartbeat and he is the happiest person on the planet. ► COMMITMENT LEVEL: Séaghdha is 100% a 'put a ring on it or walk away' type of person. ► OPINION OF PUBLIC AFFECTION: He could not care less about what people think, he's going to smooch his partner and anyone who doesn't like it can see themselves out. The only time Séaghdha refrains from PDAs is if his partner requests it of him. Otherwise, he's very open with his affections - though of course nothing too intense. That sort of thing is saved for private moments. ► PAST RELATIONSHIPS: He has only had one past relationship, a clanmate he grew up with named Braden. Unfortunately, Braden passed away, gored by a wild boar on his first big hunt. In Séaghdha's canon this happened about a year prior to Inquisition, so he has had time to work through the mourning process. However, to this day, Séaghdha keeps Braden's bow.
