As before, the Accursed paused.  A dulled feeling–cold and nostalgic–coiled around his hearts. The fire in his eyes…that was you, once, whispered a voice. Just as ancient. Just as cold.

A thin, tight line pulled the old Elf’s mouth into a frown.

“Justice. Revenge. Are they not synonymous with bloodshed?” Again, he silenced, taking stock of the other man. Malekith dared a step forward, then went on.

“To claim otherwise borders dangerous territory. Once those lines blur together, there will be no going back.” No light left at the end of the tunnel.

Only darkness.

How suddenly like his brother or one of his fellow Avengers this monster now sounded. It mattered little that Malekith spoke the truth; for him to offer advice only made Loki hate him more. Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare appeal to a sense of morality to dissuade me from this.

“I have killed less deserving creatures than you simply for getting in my way. What’s one more body?”
