"looks like tonight will end uneventfully," dohee commented as she joined her bodyguard's side. her blind date was somewhere, and had been there for who knows how long now. she likely scared him away with her talks of elopement and prenup requirements. it was for the better, she ecided. what she needed was a husband, not a sweetheart. "at least for me. there's neither an attempt at murder or marriage to be committed tonight."

dohee held her bottom lip between her teeth in concentration. just a little more… one little pull. with extreme care, she pulled the wooden block from the bottom of the fragile jenga tower and gently placed it on top of the tower. “yes!” she exclaimed slightly above a whisper, as if the volume of her voice would make it tumble over. her smile faltered for a second as she realized she'd slipped out her ice princess facade. sitting straighter, she feigned disinterest and pointed at the blocks. “it's your turn."

“thanks for meeting me here,” dohee said as she sat down at the table. “i would’ve met you in my office but it’s….” a mess, she finished internally. between the mismatched of furniture to the absolute disarray of papers and boxes strewn about, mess was actually putting it mildly. the dissonance pained her minimalist heart, so she chose to be in it as little as possible. hence renting out a private room in a restaurant instead. “it’s being renovated.” which would soon be true. her first order of business was to fix it up since her trip seemed to have been extended indefinitely. well, she supposed, second. first would be ensuring her safety. “i’m dohee, by the way. the one you’ll be protecting.” she held out her business card for the other.

“i’m moving on to better things,” dohee declared with stubborn nod of her head. “much better things,” she said mostly, more to convince herself. “like this,” she slid over the super-immune blue juice towards the other. “it’s my new non-alcoholic take on a coconut mojito. what do you think?” the juice was an azure blue from the spirulina with a lime twist and mint leaf garnish.
