there was an immediate reaction upon seeing her older brother. she had no idea what happened to him when he'd left and never came back. judith could only imagine the worst. that in his grief he'd gone and drunk himself to an early grave. seeing him now, he looked nearly nothing like the last time she'd seen him a complete mess. "c-carter?" her heart pounding under her chest as she took a step backwards, sure she was just seeing things now. she closed her eyes to shield her from this particular ghost. "no.. no, it's not him." she started letting out slow breaths trying not to break down in public.

Rhaena was absolutely thrilled to see their sister, Baela, again. It felt like it had been far too long -- especially since Rhaenyra had sent her off with the youngest of their boys in order to keep the boys safe in the midst of war. She knew it had to be done, even if it meant that she had to part ways with Baela for a time. "Baela!" She exclaims, grinning from ear to ear. "Gods, I was not sure when I would see you again."

HE WAS STARING AND HE KNEW IT. his arrival in washington had exposed louis to lots of different creatures and humans but this was the first time he'd encountered another vampire. except ... it felt different. smelt different. yet louis couldn't quite put his finger on why and it unnerved him so deeply that he almost ignored it. strange vampires in strange places had only ever led him to devastation but sometimes curiosity was stronger. unfortunately. oliver’s nothing if not adaptable. years on an island to thank for that. it’s not every day you show up in an alternate world where your wife doesn’t even remember you. then again, weirder things have happened to oliver like the almost end of the world. he reminds himself at least she’s here. because god knows he hadn't handled it well the last time she’d disappeared. “oh, hey,” oliver stuffs down the ache, putting on a grin, “would you believe me if i said i was just in the neighborhood?”
