One of Mary’s favourite spells was the combining charm. With the snow falling harder and the temperatures getting colder, being able to combine hers and Lily’s beds so that they could comfortably share was brilliant. While they could both fit in a twin sized bed, it was hardly necessary when magic could combine them to be bigger. Mary pulled out all of their coziest blankets and laid them on the bed so that they would be comfortable. She had on her Mum’s old sweatshirt and her fuzziest socks, knowing that temperatures would drop even further throughout the night. While Lily was in charge of getting snacks, she was setting up their dorm to be a cozy haven. She dimmed their lights so that they were more like a glow, and set a pile of books on the night stand so that they could read to their hearts content. Once she was finished, she crawled into her side of the bed and started getting comfortable. Hearing the door open, she smiled broadly at her favourite person and greeted, “Welcome to our haven. Cold feet in bed will not be accepted, please accept your pair of complimentary fuzzy socks.”
