The fluid oozing from its mouth isn't drool, but a sweet honey-nectar it uses to attract prey, but it is sticky and will cling to anything it touches, and it also smells extremely repulsive to nearly every living creature except Gloom itself, which loves the horrible stench and drools more as it smells it.
