Things are doing a bit better over here. Thanks to everyone who sent love and support over, I feel it. 🥰
Chocking a lot of the emotional roller coaster up to pregnancy hormones. Hormones are so much more powerful than I ever would have thought!
I’m enjoying the weekend just hanging out with my miniature human, eating donuts, giggling, and trying to catch up on sleep. I *think* I taught pep how to give a kiss by prompting him — when we’re face to face, I’ll make a kissy face and go “mmm!” and lean in, and he’ll give me one of those big slobbery open-mouthed baby smooches. It’s the BEST. He also really only gives me kisses, which makes them feel extra special.
Pep also has been showing more and more interest in music lately. He cannot get enough of cocomelon (how annoying can that show be, though, guys?!) and he now shakes his head and bops and dances to the music. Any music, though, really. It’s so funny.
Oh! And switching gears a bit, we also decided on a name for baby #2. We were between two names — one was B’s favorite and one was my favorite. We both liked both of the names quite a lot, but each felt strongly about our own #1 name pick. Because we both liked both, in typical fashion for us, we left it up to chance and flipped a coin. The result of the coin toss? My favorite name wins! 😁 I felt guilty at first, but B is totally down for it and calls him by his name all the time already. So, we’ll have a baby H (pep) and a baby L.
I had an early glucose screening last week and passed with flying colors. Such a relief, especially since I had to get the 3-hour glucose test done not once but twice when I was pregnant with pep. Smooth sailing is a very welcome thing right now! Baby L is measuring great and has a strong heart beat. All good things.
Off to try and get some crocheting done while pep naps.. gotta finish a baby blanket I’m making for friends of ours who just had their first babe and get that in the mail. Happy Sunday!
