Man, you’re living in the good area of the country then haha. I’ve been rejected multiple times for being overqualified. They’re mostly afraid they have to pay you too much, or that you’ll get bored and look for another job after a few months, or they think I don’t really need the job and will find another one very easily. Not sure how they missed the four years of crappy part-time jobs on my resume lol.
I once applied for a job that is the exact thing I studied for (animal education) and they still said I was overqualified :/
I’ve been searching on the internet if more people deleted educations from their resume for that reason and yup, loads of people have this problem. So I think I’m deleting the thing and see how it goes. I’ve always worked during school, so there won’t be a hole on my resume either, so I might actually pull this off :P
