after an early morning breakfast with his best friend, he thought he'd make his way downstairs to greet beau once he was done catching up with everyone. ziggy had been on and off hoarding his attention since they'd arrived at the wexley. they would say they felt bad for it, but they truly did not. they hadn't felt bad for stealing beau or ember's time. these people had almost half a year with their people, they'd hardly had two weeks. ziggy wasn't quite ready to go back in the diner, but the atrium might be alright. they were chastising themselves for being so reactive to their surroundings. this wasn't who they were, not really. normally they were so easygoing.
perhaps the media room would have something to distract them — wait, was that agnes? ziggy paused their step, halfway across the atrium now. it couldn't be, could it? she wouldn't have been on a cruise. would she have been on a yacht? no. well, maybe. they turned back to look toward the diner, expecting to see nothing but a stranger. that's not what he saw at all, though. what, or rather, who he saw was his sister. that was aggie. aggie was next to the diner. why didn't they tell him she was here?
"aggie..." they said her name at regular volume, coaxing their feet to move toward her. "aggie!" they called loudly across the room and ran towards her, his hand reaching for her shoulder. "aggie, it's you. oh my god, it's really you! what are you doing here?"
