It’s been a bit since I’ve updated. Life has been busy, mostly with keeping this little baby alive and happy. We had Pep’s two month well visit with the pediatrician (whose office is actually on a family owned farm — it’s a family practice and it’s super cute!) and they were really happy with his weight gain and his neck strength! Tummy time is paying off handsomely. Actually, believe it or not, he was doing tummy time on Wednesday this week and he ROLLED OVER! Like, on purpose. At two months old. We’re in trouble with this one. 😅
I also am managing to ramp up the workouts and got a killer one in today. This is making all the difference for my mental health. My weight is also ticking downward again now after being stalled for a little while there.
With the workouts and the breastfeeding, I’m burning lots of calories, which means I’m eating lots too. I mean, of course I am. 😁 I tried making this Cajun chicken pasta last night and it came out amazing. So, so good. Also, check out these cookie sandwiches with cannoli filling. I mean...
Last bits of good news for now: I finally finished the blanket I’ve been making my brother as a housewarming kinda gift. This thing started taking up so much room while I was working on it, we couldn’t wait to get it out of the house. It weighed 6.5 pounds when it was all said and done. 😂
Oh! And I’m scheduled for my first covid vaccine shot on March 27. YES. Moving forward — little by little. One more step toward normalcy. We just gotta keep on keepin’ on.
