Radio Times dated 3-9 April 1974 with cover star Clodagh Rodgers (1947-2025). In a brave move at the time Clodagh, from Northern Ireland, represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1971 with Jack in the Box. The song came fourth in the contest and also peaked at No. 4 in the UK charts.

Valiant cover dated 3 April 1976. Death Wish cover by Mike Dorey (this was a different strip to the Death Wish that later appeared in Speed from the same company). The "Great News Inside..." referred to the title merging with the reprint title Vulcan. Valiant would later merge with Battle Picture Weekly in October that year.

Inside Kampfgruppe Falken fought their final battle. The strip did return but I think in the form of reprints only. Elsewhere there was news of the return of Big Willi in a story that featured the last UK comics work of Alberto Salinas (the artist was Argentinian and the Falklands War had started on the 2 April).
