Valiant hadn’t merged with another comic since Knockout in 1963.Both Billy Bunter and Kelly’s Eye went through Knockout,Smash! and TV21 mergers.Captain Hurricane, The Nutts and Crows, Raven and Wild Wonders, home grown strips, continued and Janus Stark, His Sporting Lordship and the Swots and Blots became regular strips while Banger and Masher,The Ghostly Guardian and Simon Test would disappear by October’s merger with TV21.
