Oh du mein geliebter prinz.
Hey, this really isn't my normal blog style, but here I am. It just so happens that Philando Castile, the man we all know was wrongly shot and killed by police at a traffic stop on July 6th, 2016, was a beloved cafeteria worker in the St. Paul Public School District. Even having lived in the Twin Cities my whole life, I never personally knew him, but many of my classmates at the summer school program at Harding Senior High School did, and they wrote a song about him, and all the other killings that the BlackLivesMatter protest is trying to stop. This makes it incredibly personal to me, to see people around me affected on this level, so much so that I feel it's my duty to get this song out there. The Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project is a program dedicated to allowing people of any age, race, gender, sexuality, or walk of life to express themselves and their message through music. More details about the song and those who participated can be found on twincitiesmobilejazzproject.org . Rest in Power Mr. Phil.

Today, woke up around 11am. Went to go try Koala Kolache with Ivie at 11:30. It was so good. Best kolaches ever. The staff was so friendly. Also the guy that worked there I had saw him at chipotle before. He's total BAE lol. After, went to Ivies house to chill. Then went to 5Below, World Market. Then came back to watch Netflix.

First day on the job
It went quite well. People were friendly and helpful. I’ve already got 2 projects and I have 2 employees that I’m managing, which I had forgotten was part of the job description when I applied. I’m not complaining one bit - it’s another challenge, especially since I’ve never actually had to manage others before. It’s the entire enchilada so to speak; I’ll be writing and delivering their annual reviews.
There is a dress code in place, which is another first for me - dressing casual is my thing.
We’re not allowed to wear jeans 😭
Okayyyyy enough whining. Time for bed.
Good night friends in my devices 😆
