i like how sam's experience is only given to the audience once it can be used in combination/comparison with dean's experience even though sam supposedly had the same type of relationship with bobby that dean did. connecting this back to my posts on 07x09 and 07x10, it's meaningful to me that we are learning about this several episodes after it happened (despite the fact that it was obviously important to sam, given him saying he went a 'little nuts') and i think it's yet another example of sam's being unable to really interact with bobby on-screen unless dean is there physically or he's the root / motivation behind their conversation
