New Niall Horan, Charlie Puth Singles Reach Top 55 At Pop Radio
“Too Much To Ask” and “How Long” earn Top 55 positions at pop radio.
“Too Much To Ask” is the recently released follow-up to Niall Horan’s #1 pop radio hit “Slow Hands.”
“How Long” is the newly released follow-up to Charlie Puth’s #1 pop radio hit “Attention.”
This week, both songs enter the Top 55 at pop radio.
Played 320 times during the October 1-7 tracking week, “Too Much To Ask” ranks as the Mediabase pop panel’s #53 song. It was #63 last week.
Despite not launching until the fifth day of the tracking week, “How Long” amassed 298 tracking period plays. That figure is enough for #54 at pop.
Last week, Liam Payne's "Strip That Down (featuring Quavo)" reached #1 on the Billboard Pop Songs Chart. This week, it improves to #1 on the corresponding (and more authoritative) Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. Up one place
“Strip That Down” officially becomes the #1 song at pop radio.
Last week, Liam Payne’s “Strip That Down (featuring Quavo)” reached #1 on the Billboard Pop Songs Chart.
This week, it improves to #1 on the corresponding (and more authoritative) Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.
Up one place from last week’s position, “Strip That Down” takes #1 on the strength of its ~17,887 tracking period spins. This week’s count tops last week’s mark by 347.
Liam Payne becomes the third One Direction original to score a #1 hit at pop radio. ZAYN hit the chart’s apex with his debut single “PILLOWTALK,” while Niall Horan had spent the past two weeks at #1 with “Slow Hands.”
Yes, that means Payne replaces another One Direction member atop the chart.
Horan’s single, which received ~15,785 spins during the October 1-7 tracking week (-1,911), falls to #2 this week.
Charlie Puth’s “Attention” holds at #3 with ~14,586 spins (-794), while Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” holds at #4 with ~14,166 (+59).
Credited with ~13,906 spins (+1,610), Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still” rises one spot to #5.

Out the window weather for Athens, Georgia...
soggy.
The steady rain has let up and it looks like we’ll get about 5 hours or so of just cloudy skies before the rain returns late this afternoon and into the evening.
