Song of the Day

I’m like 15-20 mins late....sue me. Lol. Today has been a sad day for many. I just want to tell people that it’s fkn effortless to be nice. It’s fkn effortless to spread love && not hate. That is all. Also, if you can donate to the victims from today, here’s the post with more info.

For today’s song, I have taken us to Vietnam. The court music of Vietnam is also known as, Nhã nhạc. According to Wikipedia, the name Nhã nhạc pertains to the Vietnamese court music performed from “Trần dynasty of the 13th century to the Nguyễn dynasty at the end of the 20th century.” It was during the Nguyễn dynasty that emperors made Nhã nhạc the official court music.

Vietnamese court music was performed at annual ceremonies, including anniversaries and religious holidays, as well as special events such as coronations, funerals or official receptions, by highly trained and skilled court musicians. Along with the musicians, a number of intricate court dances also exist. Both musicians and dancers wore elaborately designed costumes during their performances.
