I lay down a humble hut

Of bamboo and concrete

With a clay fireplace and

Iron cast pots and pans

And woods as warmth

With ivory rope round the trunks of trees

and bells in its knots

The moon shines bright in this space

The shade brings a coolness equal to the stream a hundred paces east of this place

As my sun dried herbs slung above my makeshift furnace I watch

With softening expression

The blue afternoon wane to embery evening

Watch as veridian turns to silhouettes

Vibrating with wind still discernable against the spangled cool gradient

i think people leaving me is something i've always feared and that's why i absolutely can't stand being ghosted. if you're going to leave me, please just tell me why. i'd rather be hurt than clueless. when i was a little girl and a friend that was visiting had to leave, i literally sobbed because i didn't want to be alone and my mom had to reassure me that i'd see them again. if i get ghosted, there's no assurance of anything and i can't have that. whether you're going to leave or stay, tell me so even if i cry because it's the last time we'll meet, at least i know that for now, it's over and i could move on.
