Hi, sorry, no, I hadn’t even heard of them, I think. Wow, that’s a while back. 2002! Wow, that’s actually pretty cool. But no, this was the first I’m learning of them.

Meet the macho, motorcycle-riding, gun-shooting, police hero of 099 Central.

We are on episode 1. He is eventually supposed to have a grand OTP with (equally tough) heroine. Ummm....

I realize there are cultural differences everywhere, but surely this is a bit unusual for a straight guy anywhere, even Argentina? I grew up in a conservative country and same sex unrelated people didn’t kiss each other on the mouth.

1. I have almost 2300 followers. Surely one of them has watched this? Because I am dying to blab and blab and blabbbbb. 

2. The plot contrivance that sends Tomas into some sort of cage fighting exercise to save a child of a coworker with Laura as his handler is totally ridiculous but I don’t even care. Because her freak out at his being beaten and his going Hulk and the hug when he collapses in her arms = everything. 

3. And after that, he dons his armor, picks up his gun and goes to child rescue. Pander pander pander to me, show! 

4. And then when he keeps going full guns ahead after her (OMG, how much do I love that he’s the one who is romantically pursuing, and telling her he will win her trust and etc etc and she’s the one with trust issues from a bad relationship so she is the emotionally closed off one) and she so wants to act out of self-preservation but just can’t help it - when she asks him if it hurts and he nods yes but says “no” and she kisses him OMFGGGGGGG!!!

5. I didn’t cap the rest of the awesomeness, but his buying her flowers, and then when she says he didn’t get her favorite and he gets those and etc etc and just - so adorable! But now he thinks she doesn’t like him at all and gave him a clear answer about it (long story) and just dooooooon’t break my heart, show! I mean, the guy is already badly off in life lottery - his family got killed when he was little, his adopted parents died by now, and his adopted brother is a psycho mafia guy who is fucking with him. Let him have some good things in life!

6. It’s official, Argentinian telenovelas are my fave.

Mmmmmm...how delicious, just for me!

We are only on episode 8 and we already have him rescuing her from a toxic burning building (where she went to rescue people because she’s a BAMF) and breaking down thinking she’s dead and CPR and face stroking and etc etc etc.

(Boy, is he pretty when he breaks down! No wonder Padre Coraje was a constant “let’s torture sexy blond” fest.)

Did I mention they are police partners who have dick-measuring contests like target shooting (tie hahaha). 

So my OTP kink! 

I don’t think I will ship them harder here than I did in Padre Coraje (which I need to finish btw - I am 150 eps in by now!) simply because the whole forbidden aspect of “he’s a priest, sort of, and she wants him anyway’ is hard to beat, but this is gonna be YUMMY!!!

Well, that’s now how the dialogue went but how it should have gone :P

2. Their tendency to shove each other against walls is wonderful.

3. After all of that, she kicks him out. Someone is going to need a cold shower.

4. I keep thinking of this as a Padre Coraje AU.

Those two are packing a lot of heat between them, and I don’t mean in an emotional sense. Are they gonna have his and hers gun safes when they move in together?

P.S. I continue to adore Nancy Duplaa in everything.

So, because I am enjoying the OTP of Padre Coraje so much, I took a peek into another show they did together, playing cops. 

I basically know zip about it except for my massive girl crush on the heroine. Because apparently her boyfriend’s first love got killed and he’s a basket case (why that necessitates random shirt removal I have no idea, though I appreciate it - he uses it as a kleenex but I am sure there is a paper product in the house somewhere.)

Because heroine (a) was breaking into his house because he wasn’t answering (b) and then was all - hey, let’s honor her sacrifice by getting hitched because we are alive. Which he does.

Ahahahahah, I am gonna love you so hard, heroine! You take no crap.
