The little wraith snapped even as he shrunk back to make himself smaller, a trapped animal striking at an encroaching hand. Help had been offered, but he didn't need it - he had no idea if this person was safe to interact with. Hell, he couldn't even see them.

This was simple, something he'd normally be able to treat and sew up himself. Except right now, he couldn't even manoeuvre this vessel's hands the right way to open the tin he usually kept his first aid supplies in. Clumsy, unresponsive fingers pawed uselessly at the latch on the side, and the more he struggled with it the angrier he got. This flare of misplaced anger he directed, of course, at the fact that he was currently being observed - if this other person wasn't here he'd be just fine.

" I can do it, I can... I just... Can you go somewhere else ? "

There's nothing dangerous on this island, Usopp, come on" ok, maybe it was too early to say something like that, they only arrived, but as far as Zoro could see, there was nothing for his long-nosed nakama to worry about "Listen, I'll let you come with me if that helps, but just saying, I think it will be worse to stay on the ship when you could go look for useful stuff."

The island did look like it had a very interesting fauna and flora, maybe Usopp could turn something from it into a weapon? If anyone could do that, it would be him anyway.

five is exhausted. mere days into the apocalypse and already he’s covered in dirt, blood and ash. his new friend delores has at least provided him a sounding board for his frustrations at not being able to jump back. somehow, he’d figured out how to jump forward but couldn’t get back. couldn’t find his way out of this hell. instead, he already has gone a few days with only minor food and water.

oh, and he found the bodies of his apparent grown up siblings.

he wipes tears from his eyes stubbornly as he digs more dirt away from who could only be klaus. after all, his brother had been rather eccentric even back then. it’s not hard to guess which sibling is which even if he doesn’t know them. but they deserved to be buried. not left to rot in the streets.

didn’t help when said body suddenly gasped and sat up. five stumbles back, shaking with wide, terrified eyes. “ really?! fucking zombies now? ” he grabs an axe he’d scavenged and holds it up as a threat. “ s-stay back! i’m fucking warning you! ”

   “WHAT?” this doesn’t seem like the first time ally has used a firearm- despite their claims of not liking them due to the noise. but when it came to these multi-dimensional threats that were always nagging at the both of them, for pretty much breaking timelines by mere proxy, they were getting pretty sick of being followed.

   “don’t give me that look, you’d do the same thing if the gun was in your hands." damn time-cops, they really don’t know when to quit, do they? “it should give us some time to cover our tracks.”

If he had his memories he’d know that Viktor was his brother and not some random violin teacher his mother had chosen to expedite his learning of the violin. He’d have known it was Reginald bragging that he had control of the one Hargreeves who understood time and space travel enough to stop him from his master plan. But Edward didn’t know the person who was staring at him with wide eyes.

“I’m assuming your my teacher? Mother wants me able to perform for her friends in a month so I only require enough training to get that far.” He has his own violin obviously and he has some basic knowledge from sessions with who he believes is his mother but he doesn’t know where it came from. “Father will make sure you’re paid well for this.” 

Polite, civil. A vast difference from the spitting husk of a man he’d come back from the apocalypse as. But his father had learned from past mistakes. Had made sure that his son was entirely obedient so he could better control him for the experiments to regain Five’s powers. It’s slow, but the young man doesn’t even know the scale of it.
