In 2000 UN sat new thousand year goals, one of them were to bisect absolute poverty by the year 2015. Absolute poverty is the term of living for under two dollars a day. In those numbers clothes, house, water food- everything we think of as a part of our nomal life is also counted.
When we think of it as that 2,6 billion people is living a life as absolute poor, it can seem almost impossible. A person die ever third second, and most of them are children, this means 35 000 children die every day.
Believe it or not: UN futfilled this goal by the end of 2012. It was possible, even with financial crisis and God knows what, UN managed the impossible!
In 2015 the UN will once more set new goals, and we in Stop Poverty wants helping the other half of the absolute poor to be one of them! We want 0 poor in 2030!
It is possible. It has been done before. We can do it again. We can stop poverty
In the year of 2015 UN is going to set new goals, we will send them the voices of the people. We will show them how many that really wants to stop poverty! Every voice counts- especially yours!
