ALTERNATE VERSES
CYBORG/Living Robotic Humanoid
Fairly similar to the events detailed in his backstory (linked in pinned), but instead of being giant robots Cybertronians are humanoids that can shapeshift/transform to look like other humanoid creatures or smaller vehicles such as motorcycles. In this verse Optimus has blue/silver hair, black and silver hair and wears the Bay outfit from this artwork (a combo of TFO, TFP & Bayverse for appearance). This verse can be combined with any of his other verses listed below <3
HUMAN
Optimus is a firefighter born and raised in Montana. Moving to California to help combat wildfires there, he falls in love with the state and decides to move there permanently.
DC
Cybertron was a world with sentient mechanical inhabitants created by the Old Gods to preserve their knowledge and memories in case of their deaths/downfall. Embedded in the Allspark is The Source (primordial life energy). The combination of the Source with the Allspark has made Cybertron and its inhabitants direct descendants of the powerful Motherbox. Although originally created to preserve the knowledge of the Old Gods and protect the motherbox (and in turn maintain a balance of life and death in the universe), after the death of the Old Gods, there was a power shift. The death of the Old Gods brought about the creation of new worlds, such a Apokolips. And with manipulative leaders such as Darkseid coming to power on Apokolips, some Cybertronains were convinced to abandon their duty to seek ultimate power through death and destruction (Decepticons became loyal to Apololips & Darkseid). Decepticons such as Megatron were repeatedly exposed to the Fatherbox and other dark energies, corrupting their bodies and minds, making them highly unstable. The exposure to the Fatherbox has made Decpticons easier to manipulate by Darkseid and his forces. However, Darkseid won't have total control over the Decpticons and all sentient beings until he obtains the Anti-Life Equation which was hidden on Earth many eons ago. Optimus and the Autobots travel to Earth to stop Darkseid from obtaining the Anti-Life Equation and to prevent him from destroying the Earth (and its inhabitants).
DC (specific to the Batfam, but only to those interested)
While investigating Darkseid, the Motherbox, the Fatherbox and other Apokoliptian tech Batman recovered pieces of highly advanced but damaged cybertronian AND Apokoliptian tech/machinery. These recovered pieces were unknowingly were still living fragments of Optimus's body and soul. To avoid total death, while Batman was absent he used his remaining energy to fuse with the Batmobile and the nearby pieces of recovered Apololiptian tech. Essentially building himself a new body using Batman's batmobile and Apololiptian tech, Optimus saved his own life. However, his life remains in peril as he must balance keeping his unaware savior (Batman) safe while also fighting Darkseid's minions and Decepticons alike.
MARVEL
Cybertron was one of many worlds felled by Galactus. The Allspark, a powerful relic that grants all Cybertronians life contains cosmic power, which is why Galactus targeted the planet in the first place. However, Glactus soon shifted his sights to Earth upon learning that Optimus and the Autobots fled the planet and hid the Allspark on Earth. The Autobots become tasked with protecting both the Allspark and the Earth as a result. The team up with the Fantastic Four to fight the devourer of worlds.
SUPERNATURAL
Optimus is an electricity demon with the ability to possess humans and vehicles alike. He also has the ability to shapeshift into various human and vehicular appearances. Demons aren't inherently evil, just hail from a different realm/plane than humans. Optimus gets stuck on the mortal plane after fighting the Decepticons whose goal is to destroy the mortal realm so they can create a new layer/ring of hell. Creating a new ring/layer of hell would upset the balance of the universe and put all of their lives in danger, hence why Optimus stopped him. Note: Demons can only access the mortal realm if summoned by humans.
