If you take into account that Itachi is canonly a year younger then stated (for reasons that put Fugaku and Danzō on my shitlist), and then take into account the rest of the canon ages:

Sasuke was 8 at the time of the massacre, Itachi was 12 -> 4 year age difference

But,it's also stated that:

Sasuke was 12/13 during Naruto, and Itachi was 18 -> 6/5 year age difference

Like I don't know about you but that's not how you do math. But anyway, most people follow the second (2) bc that's what narutopedia claims at the top of the page...

But if we follow the first (1) logic, then:

Sasuke is 12/13 during Naruto, and Itachi is 16/17. SIXTEEN, AT MOST SEVENTEEN!!!! SIXTEEN, gawd

That's THIRTEEN (a whole ass clan killer) years younger then Kisame - that's TEN (double fucken digits) years younger then young-teach Kakashi - that's ONLY ONE (1 WHOLE ASS SINGLE YEAR) FUCKEN YEAR OLDER THAN HAKU, THEN HAKU

I think my fav thing about creating AU's for the Akatsuki is that I basically say that a work collegue, who they so reluctantly do assignments with, is so intristcally important to them that they're reincarnated together in each new universe

like imagine if you were always reincarnated beside Dave, yknow the guy who sits by the printer and you make idle chitchat with , like you'd think the universe Fucked Up, and I just find that beautiful
