The historian in "1 vs. 1" is based off real-life (celebrity?) historian who's also named Seol Min-seok, who does kinda resemble Lee Chang-ho (FYI: the clan Gyeongju Seol's founder is an Uyghur who was accepted into Goryeo society during King Gongmin; his ancestors lived by Selenga River in Mongolia). I think GagCon removed "Confusing/ Atomic News" since recent events.
Yep. It created a bit of a buzz, and now half the characters on 1 vs. 1 are parodies…
That’s quite an interesting piece of history, especially when Seol is not a common surname.
I don’t think they did. Just yesterday in the latest GagCon episode, they parodied the BBC reporter’s Korean wife and family incident.

Shiniinsoo here. Jung Hae-cheol's "Wang Game" had double-meaning: the sub says "Game of Thrones" (which actually is translated as "wangjwa-ui geimeu"), & there's the drinking game with the same name. If Lee Sang-hun was for the current affairs, Kim Hwoe-kyung is for the international/global news XP.
I would see that it’s difficult for the subbing team to explain that drinking game in the subtitles…
Rather, Kim Hwe Kyung reminds me of Park Young Jin of Minsang Debate. Lee Hyun Jung’s answers are quite a joke~ Though ignorant it may seem, they are sometimes witty. The Choi Bul-am riddles though…
