Elephant in the Womb ~*~ [Attilla]
@adella-the-idyllic
Test run time.
Andrina didn’t count, because, obviously, she had been the first to find out. Even point two seconds before Attina. And she had been the one to figure it out in the first place, so it’s not like Attina was prioritizing anyone over anyone else. It had been an accident!
Which meant that Adella would be the first person besides Panic that Attina told-told about the pregnancy.
This was both terrifying because Attina was Attina and she was worried about what her sisters would think of her. Think her stupid for not planning properly. Think her even more stupid for getting knocked up by a demon. Think her even more stupid than that, to be going through with it and want a family with said demon. A proper one. One with marriage and little ones.
Also, there was--everything Adella went through. Which she didn’t talk about much and that Attina definitely didn’t want to drag up. Whenever she thought about it, she felt awfully guilty. It also freaked her out, worrying that it was somehow--genetic or something. Panic had had to take the computer away from her at one point, reading about statistics of this, that, or the other thing that could go horribly wrong. (She did it all with a kind of detached, morbid fascination--or, well, she thought she had. Apparently she hadn’t, though, because Panic had thought she had been reading some awful news story. Whoops.)
Anyway--she was very, very nervous.
And had been putting it off.
She had said after the trial, but the trial had passed now and still...Attina hadn’t said anything. It felt like divine intervention when Adella had asked Attina to come over to help her prep for auditions for the PrideU spring musical.
“Heeey,” Attina said, knocking on the door to Adella and Arista’s room. She tried glancing subtly around for Arista, finding her no where in site. She had been pretty sure her sister was out volunteering, but it was nice to see the coast really was clear.
“Sorry I am a little late. Wasn’t feeling super hot this morning,” she explained sheepishly as she came into the room and perched on the end of the bed, giving Adella a smile. “How are you? Ready for PrideU’s next big hit?”
