1-1 Tutorial
Yesterday I had my first 1-1 tutorial with Rich. He asked what stage I was at in terms of my identity, and the session ended up being a talk about my logo and how I could push it further. He liked the logo variations I had done, but suggested that I researched further into visual language and public associations. He questioned whether my logo was related to Urbanex, and whether or not it was recognisable enough. He suggested I looked at map longitude/latitude as well as maps, to better inform my overall logotype. Urban structures we recognise as being urban, or even taking shapes from the gallery space I’ve chosen would help too.
He also debated my colour scheme choice, and after further discussion about it he suggested that I just added an accent colour to my greyscale theme to make it pop out a bit more.
Overall a really informative tutorial, and I feel like I just need to get on with these suggestions quickly so I can move forward with my ephemera and way finding.
